Myofascial Release

Myofascial release(MR) is a technique developed to work with the body's fascia. Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber, and muscle in place. MR is a manual (hands-on) technique that works to relax, lengthen and realign your fascia. The movements used during MR are slow and sustained with gentle pressure, which allows the facia to release, elongate and eventually return to its normal state, allowing for increased flow of blood, fluids, and energy to the area and often effecting a change in the entire body.

Facia in the body is similar to a spider web connecting every major organ and body system. Working on one area of the facia affects the rest of the facia - like if you touch one side of the spiderweb- it ripples throughout the entire web.
