Drama Kids
Drama Kids, International, the largest after-school drama program in the world, is at Blueberry Gardens in Ashton. No one does drama like Drama Kids, where every child's a star! Whether destined for the stage or the boardroom, Drama Kids prepares children and young adults to speak up clearly with confidence, putting them on an easier path for lifelong success. In our award-winning, copyrighted, developmental drama program, we use the fun and creativity of drama to foster fundamental life skills: presentation, speaking, verbal and non-verbal communication, team work skills (leadership, discussion, negotiation, compromise), quick on-your-feet thinking and, above all, confidence and self-esteem.
In this 16 week session, students will be working on a main stage performance while sharpening speaking and acting skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and team-building skills. These fun, fast-paced classes will also include improvisation exercises (for quick on-your-feet thinking), dramatic movement, and theatre games. Our mid-May Spring Performance for each class will be a play written exclusively for Drama Kids which highlights all the afore-mentioned skill-sets and features full student participation - our students will shine with confidence and self-esteem! At Drama Kids, the difference is dramatic!
Winter 2012 Dates and Time:
- Lower Primary Class for ages 5-8 - Fridays from 4:45pm to 5:45pm
- Upper Primary Class for ages 9-12 - Fridays from 5:45pm to 6:45pm
- From January 13th to May 11th, 2012
- No classes on March 30th
- No classes on April 6th (Before Easter)
