Yoga Class Descriptions:

Gentle Yoga

            Is a slower pace class emphasizing yoga breathing, stress reduction, relaxation and uses warm-ups and gentle and modified poses.  Poses are used to enhance student’s body awareness, flexibility, and strength.  The class is suitable for those desiring a less vigorous class and those whose health may limit their ability to fully participate in another class.  The class is geared to the specific needs of the participants.

Gentle Level I      

            This is a transition class between Gentle Yoga and Yoga I. It emphasizes warm-ups, preparatory poses, modified poses with props to introduce the basic Yoga poses.

Level I

            Is for beginning and continuing students,  focusing on the principles of alignment, breathwork in the primary yoga poses, with the appropriate use of props.

Level I/II

            Is for continuing yoga students who have taken Yoga I or have taken yoga before.   The focus of the class is refining the basic poses, building strength and endurance and introducing Level II poses.
